Akasha Yoga offers over 50 yoga classes weekly at two locations: Davis and Vacaville. We offer a variety of yoga class styles for all-level students. Our Hot Hatha and Vinyasa classes are heated. The heat has many benefits including increased muscle elasticity, improved circulation and enhanced detoxification. All of our classes are All-Levels, and we have beginning students and well as experienced students in every class. Remember, it is not about executing a posture ideally or looking like your neighbor. Instead, it is about going within, becoming aware of sensation and moving with your breath. Pace yourself and honor your body…take rest when needed.

Vinyasa Flow Yoga

Akasha Yoga’s Vinyasa Flow yoga classes include a creative flow of asana set to inspiring music. Each class is a unique journey and invigorating exploration of the body. Lose yourself in the flow, let the sweat rain and emerge refreshed & renewed! Moderate Heat. Mellow Flow is a variations of Vinyasa Flow Yoga.

Yin Yoga

Yin Yoga is the perfect complement to the mostly active, vigorous yoga offered at Akasha Yoga. In our Yin Yoga classes, you will hold a series of floor postures for several minutes each. As a result of holding these postures while remaining connected to your breath, the deep connective tissues of the body will begin to release. This quiet, yet intense practice will challenge you to surrender your mind and be still in your discomfort.

Hot Hatha

Hot Hatha is Akasha Yoga’s most fundamental yoga class and is an excellent place to begin your yoga practice. This All-Levels class is a complete practice, meaning it addresses the entire body. Also called “Hot Yoga” or “Traditional Hot Yoga,” this practice will help you build strength and balance, while increasing flexibility. It is recommended for beginners and seasoned practitioners alike. Runners, cyclists and other athletes, as well as desk warriors will find this class challenging, yet so beneficial in giving back to the body, building strength, restoring range of motion, lengthening muscles and improving circulation. It’s a tune-up for the body! The repetition of approximately 26 poses along with precise instructions on how to safely move in and out of poses will help you develop a solid foundation for your yoga practice. Heated.

Inferno Hot Pilates

Inferno Hot Pilates combines cardio and muscle toning in a heated room.  The high intensity interval training keeps your heart rate up, helping you burn fat. The Pilates principles sculpt your body, creating long lean muscle mass. The heat loosens up the muscles quickly, and the humidity makes you sweat — elevating your heart rate, boosting metabolism, and promoting detoxification.  This low impact class is open to all levels.
