  • I was first exposed to yoga at a very young age. My parents practiced Ashtanga under the guidance of Baba Hari Dass. It was always something I found intriguing and a bit mystical. I eventually turned to yoga as my path after a few dark years of depression and anxiety. One of the four noble truths in Buddhism is that all sentient beings seek happiness. I made this discovery about 10 years ago when I took refuge with Anam Thubten Rinpoche, one of the great Tibetan masters of this modern age. Through his teachings I have discovered that the gateway to happiness, contentment and a deeper connection to one's self can be found within.

  • It wasn’t my fault that I fell in love with Yoga. It was a very good friend of mine that brought me to my first class eight years ago, leaving an indelible mark to this day. Without a doubt, this was where I needed to be; my mat felt like home. It gave me a sense of comfort and strength, which continues to resonate deep within me.Since that very first class I have been charging forward without looking back. In 2011 I enrolled in my first 200hr Teacher Training program and set fire to what became a very personal journey. Two years later I completed a 100hr anusara inspired training; nurturing a new found faith in me and the lives of those around me. I continue to pay homage, seeing yoga as a gift to be shared, ultimately finding myself humbled by the opportunity to teach amongst an enriched community of people, with their own ability to inspire.

  • Sam began teaching yoga in 2018 after completing a 200-hour Vinyasa teacher training program that year. Two years prior, taking his first yoga class in decades had moved him so much that he had committed to more classes, which became daily practice, which became a gradual and perpetual transformation of mind, body, and spirit. Yoga in all its expressions and interpretations is a system for the body and mind to find increasingly open and powerful connections to source, and to explore what that means uniquely for each of us. Sam is committed to that exploration, and to helping others find and grow their practice and nurture their power. Sam's teaching and personal practice is built upon thirty-five years training in the martial arts, including ten years teaching Kenpo Karate, in which he holds a black belt, and upon seven years as a personal trainer specializing in sports-performance and functional-fitness. He's happy to be on a yoga journey, and looks forward to sharing part of it with you.

  • I discovered yoga while a student at UC-Davis. After my first hot yoga class, I knew the practice would be part of my lifelong journey. At the time, I was reliant on three-plus visits a week to the chiropractor to stave off debilitating headaches that were lingering from multiple car accidents. The practice challenged me physically and mentally—some days it took all my will to go to class. After several months of consistent practice, the headaches were nearly gone. My quality of life was significantly improved. In 2006, it was time to start giving back by teaching. I attended a comprehensive 500-hour yoga teacher training program. I taught for four years before I was able to realize my dream of opening a studio in Vacaville.

"It is my life purpose to share the practice of yoga with as many people as possible. It may not be for everyone, but based on my personal journey I encourage everyone to try. I see the potential for the benefits to be as profound for you as they have been for me, and I wish to share this message with you.”
